Residents of Iganjo Ward in Mbeya are set to reap the benefits of expanded agricultural support and improved electricity access under CCM’s 2025/2030 manifesto.
Speaking at a campaign meeting on September 30, 2025, CCM parliamentary candidate for Uyole, Dr. Tulia Ackson, highlighted how the party’s policies are already impacting local farming.
Subsidized fertilizers, pesticides, and other inputs have been increased to help farmers boost productivity and reduce costs.
“Subsidies allow farmers to access essential inputs at affordable prices. With the experience gained from past seasons, every household in Iganjo will benefit more effectively,” Dr. Tulia said.
She added that local irrigation schemes will also be upgraded to support year-round farming and increase yields.
The manifesto also prioritizes rural electricity. Dr. Tulia announced that a major substation will be constructed in Iganjo to address frequent power outages and improve electricity access for homes and businesses.
“This project reflects President Samia’s commitment to continue the development work already started,” she said.
Local leaders say these interventions are already making a difference. Eliud Mbogella, the newly elected CCM Ward Councilor for Iganjo, urged residents to trust the party, pointing to visible improvements in health, education, and water services.
“Even before Dr. Tulia returned home, our communities benefited under her leadership in Mbeya Urban. Now, with these new projects, we expect faster progress and solutions to long-standing challenges,” he said.
With practical projects underway, CCM is turning manifesto promises into tangible change, improving livelihoods and strengthening development in Iganjo.
