Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has appealed for calm, unity, and active participation from Temeke residents ahead of the presidential campaign rally of its candidate, President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, scheduled for October 23 in Dar es Salaam.

CCM Temeke District Secretary, Mr. Daniel Sayi, told reporters that all preparations are complete to welcome the Head of State, who is expected to outline her vision for Tanzania’s future as she seeks re-election in the October 29 General Election.

“We are urging the people of Temeke to turn out in large numbers and receive our presidential candidate peacefully,” said Sayi.

“At this stage of the campaign, some individuals may attempt to spread messages of division or incite unrest. We ask citizens to remain calm, reject any provocation, and focus on voting peacefully for the future of our nation.”he added

Sayi highlighted the government’s achievements under Dr. Samia’s leadership, especially in expanding access to quality social services.

He cited the upgrading of Temeke Hospital to a referral facility as a major milestone that has improved healthcare delivery and reduced patient referrals to other districts.

Temeke CCM District Chairperson, Ms. Zena Yussuf Mgaya, said the upcoming rally will be an opportunity for residents to engage with national leaders and hear directly from President Samia about her development priorities.

“This rally is about listening, learning, and understanding the direction our country is taking,” Ms. Mgaya said.

“We invite citizens to come, not only to support our candidate but also to be informed about the progress made and the plans ahead.”he added

President Samia’s visit to Temeke forms part of her nationwide campaign tour, where she continues to emphasize peace, unity, and inclusive development as pillars of her next term under CCM’s 2025–2030 vision.
