Azam FC has confirmed that its full squad is now fully engaged in preparations for the 2025/2026 season.
The team is focusing on the upcoming NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League, set to kick off this September, as well as the CAF Confederation Cup, where Azam will face Al Merriekh on September 20 in Juba, South Sudan.
Speaking recently, Azam’s Head of Communications, Thabiti Zakaria, explained that preseason preparations had initially been incomplete due to several players being away on national team duties.
With those key players now back, the squad is operating at full strength.
“Earlier, our squad was not complete because some players were with the national team, and they are crucial to our team. Now, with everyone back, we are continuing joint preparations to ensure we are fully ready for the new season,” Zakaria said.
