Tomorrow, four top-flight teams will take to the field in the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League, with matches scheduled at two venues in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya.

Yanga SC will face Mbeya City at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Yanga arrives on the back of a 2-0 victory over Wielete in their latest CAF Champions League return-leg match held in the city, while Mbeya City suffered a 2-0 defeat against Azam in their most recent league outing.

In another fixture, Singida Black Stars will lock horns with Mashujaa FC at the KMC Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking yesterday in Dar es Salaam, coaches and players expressed confidence and readiness ahead of the matches.

Yanga head coach Romain Folz said his team has been strategically prepared to perform at the highest level. He noted that tactical changes were necessary to strengthen the squad and ensure continued progress in competitions.

“I want to ensure the team reaches its full potential, and I will guide them there. It is essential that we achieve positive results,” Folz said, adding that a well-prepared team must be ready to perform under any conditions.

Yanga midfielder Aziz Andambwile echoed his coach’s sentiment, emphasizing the squad’s determination and focus despite expecting a tough contest.

“We are physically and mentally ready. Our morale is high, and we are determined to achieve our objectives and go far in the league,” Andambwile said.

Mbeya City head coach Malale Hamsini stressed that his side is prepared to challenge Yanga and secure crucial points. Recognizing Yanga’s quality attackers and solid defense, he remains confident in his squad’s ability to compete.

“We have organized ourselves carefully to face Yanga, and I will field more attackers because we are targeting all three points,” Hamsini said.

Mbeya City captain Eliud Ambokile added that the team has analyzed previous mistakes and made adjustments in preparation for the match.

“We have identified errors from past games and corrected them as we prepare for tomorrow,” Ambokile said.

Tomorrow’s matches are expected to deliver high-quality football as teams battle for crucial points in the league.
