TPLB General election set for November 29 in Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially set November 29, 2025, for the General Election of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), giving football fans and clubs clarity on the leadership race.

Deputy Chairman of the TFF Election Committee, Advocate Benjamini Kalume, said the nomination process will open from October 2 to 6. Aspirants for Chairman and Vice Chairman positions must currently hold these roles in Premier League, Championship, or First League clubs. The nomination fee is TZS 200,000 for the top two positions and TZS 100,000 for club representative seats.

For club representation, three positions are allocated to NBC Premier League clubs, two to NBC Championship clubs, and one to First League clubs.

The election process will continue with preliminary screenings from October 7 to 9, followed by a period for objections from October 12 to 14. Candidate interviews are scheduled for October 18 and 19, while campaigns will run from October 23 to 28, leading up to the main election day.

“This schedule ensures transparency and gives all stakeholders a clear timeline to prepare,” Advocate Kalume said, urging clubs and candidates to participate actively.
