Parliamentary candidate for Uyole Constituency and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr. Tulia Ackson, has commended the Sixth Phase Government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan for significant progress in education, especially in addressing challenges that previously affected primary and secondary school students.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Iduda Ward on September 29, 2025, Dr. Tulia noted that in the past, students had to attend classes in shifts due to a shortage of classrooms, and some sat on the floor for lack of desks. She said these challenges have now been resolved.

“My fellow residents of Iduda, we have every reason to support President Samia, myself, and Nchimbi. In education, the government has done a remarkable job. Today, no child sits on the floor, and schools have enough classrooms,” she said.

Dr. Tulia highlighted that Iduda Secondary School has now been upgraded to include Forms Five and Six, with new laboratory facilities to improve learning. The previous reliance on parents to contribute desks has also been eliminated.

Beyond education, she promised to complete the construction of a doctor’s house at Iduda Health Center to enhance healthcare services for residents.

She also called for political unity, urging voters in Uyole and across Tanzania to turn out on October 29, 2025, to elect CCM leaders at all levels, from the presidency to parliamentary and local government positions.

Japason Lema, Chairman of CCM Youth League (UVCCM) in Kongwa District, Dodoma, praised Dr. Tulia as a leader who should be protected for her contribution to national development.

“Dr. Tulia is an excellent role model for young politicians. Her work provides a clear lesson for anyone aspiring to succeed in politics,” Lema said.

Meanwhile, Iduda Ward Councilor Joseph Mwachemba appealed to Dr. Tulia to address the construction of a tarmac road and a perimeter wall at Iduda Secondary School, which has grown and now accommodates boarding students.
