Nyambui and Bayi appointed key leaders in Tanzanian Athletics Federation

Tanzania’s athletics legends, Sulemani Nyambui and Filbert Bayi, have been appointed to prominent leadership positions within the Tanzania Athletics Federation (RT). 

The appointments were made by the newly elected RT President, Togath Stephen, who will serve a four-year term.

Nyambui has been named Chairperson of the Subcommittee for the Development of Children and Youth. Her team includes Patrick Faustin, Robert Kaliahe, Juliana Mwansuva, and Juma Jambau.

Bayi has been appointed Chairperson of the Board of Patrons, supported by members Gidamis Shahanga, Maximilian Iraghe, and Zakaria Barie. Lawyer John Manyama takes up the role of Assistant Secretary General.

The Disciplinary Committee will be led by lawyer Pendaeli Munis, with members Kanali Mstaafa Juma Ikangaa, Morris Okinda, and Adram Mikumi.

 The Technical Committee is chaired by Alfredo Shahanga, supported by Andrew Rhobi, Antony Mwingereza, Muhidin Masunzu, and Aman Ngoka. 

The Appeals Committee is led by Chairperson lawyer Baraka Salus, alongside Vedastus Mkaranga, Simon Mgaya, and Noel Marufu.

The Women’s Committee is headed by Lwiza John, with members Marcelina Gwandu, Mossi Ally, and Restuta Joseph. 

Meanwhile, the Finance and Planning Committee is chaired by lawyer Jackson Ndaweka, assisted by Dr. Kylie Gyubi, Michael Nkya, Ibrahim Mwitega, Jonas Haule, and Silivesta Almasi.

The appointments mark a significant step in RT’s efforts to strengthen governance, advance technical expertise, and nurture the next generation of Tanzanian athletes under the leadership of its new president.
