Shinyanga has emerged as a crucial campaign stop for the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) as the party intensifies efforts to secure a commanding victory in the October 29 general election.

CCM presidential running mate, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi, on Wednesday rallied thousands of residents in the region, urging them to deliver a decisive mandate for President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, parliamentary aspirants, and councillor candidates.

During the rally, Dr. Nchimbi introduced key contenders, including Shinyanga Urban’s Patrobas Katambi, Lucy Mayenga for Kishapu, Ahmed Itwangi for Solwa, and Azza Hillal, alongside a slate of councillor hopefuls.

He stressed that CCM’s 2025–2030 election manifesto is centered on improving livelihoods and advancing development projects that directly impact ordinary citizens.

Party strategists view Shinyanga as pivotal in solidifying CCM’s national vote share, given its large voter population and history of strong turnout.

“The future of development here depends on your voice at the ballot. We are asking you to stand with President Samia and her team for another five years of transformation,” Dr. Nchimbi told the crowd.

With the election less than two months away, CCM has stepped up its nationwide rallies, framing the campaign around continuity, stability, and accelerated development.
