Bukombe sees remarkable progress under CCM

Bukombe constituency has undergone significant transformation over the past five years, with notable improvements in health, education, and infrastructure, CCM parliamentary candidate Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko told residents during a campaign rally in Katome Ward on September 11, 2025.

Dr. Biteko, who is seeking re-election, highlighted that Bukombe has grown from having only four dispensaries and no council headquarters to a district boasting over 60 dispensaries, five secondary schools, functioning health centres, and even an operational university.

“Five years ago, Katome Ward lacked electricity, mobile communication, hospitals, roads, and a secondary school. Today, schools have been built, dispensaries upgraded to health centres, and social services extended to the community,” Dr. Biteko said.

He attributed these achievements to the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan and CCM’s commitment to development.

Looking forward, Dr. Biteko outlined plans to consolidate these gains, including constructing a tarmac road connecting Katome and Mbogwe with World Bank support, expanding water supply, electrifying six villages, and increasing mobile communication coverage.

“These projects demonstrate that CCM delivers tangible results, not just promises,” he said.

Dr. Biteko also urged residents to turn out in large numbers during the October 29 General Election, pledging full support to President Samia and CCM candidates.

“We want development that is visible, impacting everyday lives, not just words,” he said.

Katome Ward councillor candidate Joseph Maganga praised CCM for implementing critical projects in the ward, including schools and water facilities, which have addressed longstanding challenges.

He encouraged voters to support CCM candidates in the upcoming elections.
