The Parmanent Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Ms. Agnes Meena, has sent a strong message of support to the ministry’s athletes competing in the ongoing SHIMIWI 2025 games in Mwanza, urging them to continue giving their best.
She also pledged to provide 100 kilograms of fish, bananas, and potatoes to boost their energy and morale.
Ms. Meena’s message was delivered through the Director of Fisheries, Prof. Mohammed Sheikh, who visited the camp to review preparations for upcoming events.
“On behalf of the Parmanent Secretary, we congratulate you for your outstanding performance. All ministry leaders are proud of your achievements, and especially how you have represented us in front of the Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Doto Biteko,” Prof. Sheikh said.
He encouraged the athletes to maintain their patriotism and continue striving for excellence, even beyond the SHIMIWI games.
Since the tournament began, the ministry and its institutions have actively supported the athletes, recognizing their hard work and progress in various sports disciplines.
