Vice President Dr. Isdor Philip Mpango has officially opened the 2025 Public Institutions CEOs’ Forum, representing President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the event held at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC).
The annual gathering brings together board chairpersons and chief executives of state-owned enterprises to discuss governance, accountability, and strategies for improving service delivery and financial performance.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mpango called on public institutions to prioritize the quality of goods and services produced locally, strengthen accountability in managing public resources, and enhance collaboration with both local and international partners.
“The government expects public institutions to set the benchmark for quality and integrity. Effective management of resources and transparency is crucial for sustaining public trust,” he said.
Dr. Mpango stressed that state-owned entities play a vital role in driving economic transformation and should adopt best practices in corporate governance and financial discipline to ensure efficiency and value creation.
The forum is also designed to promote innovation, improve institutional performance, and foster partnerships that align with the country’s development agenda.
