The Ministry of Minerals has announced the postponement of the 7th International Mining and Investment Conference, originally scheduled for November 2025.
The event will now take place from November 19 to 21, 2026, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Eng. Yahya Samamba, said the decision was taken to allow adequate preparations ahead of the country’s general elections in late October.
“The Ministry apologizes to all local and international stakeholders who had planned to attend the 2025 conference,” the statement read.
Held annually since 2019, the conference is a key platform for discussing Tanzania’s mining sector, sharing knowledge and experiences, and exploring emerging investment opportunities.
It also provides a chance to learn about government policies, laws, and strategies while engaging on economic and legal issues affecting the sector.
The event features the “Mining Night” awards, recognising stakeholders who have made notable contributions to the sector.
The conference attracts a wide range of participants, including mining ministers from across Africa, executives from global mining firms, researchers, ambassadors, financial institutions, traders, universities, public and private sector leaders, and regional and local authorities involved in mining activities.
