Tanzania’s football powerhouse, Simba SC, has moved its pre-season training camp from Ismailia to Cairo, Egypt, as the team intensifies preparations for the 2025/26 season.

The squad departed this morning and has already settled in the Egyptian capital, ready to embark on the next phase of their training programme.

The relocation is aimed at providing the team with a fresh environment and access to top-class facilities as they gear up for a busy campaign.

Assistant Coach Suleiman Matola said the team’s form and unity are improving steadily, with strong cohesion developing between new signings and the existing players.

He noted that Head Coach Fadlu Davids is particularly pleased with the players’ commitment and response in training.

“Compared to last season, the squad is in much better shape, and we are confident of delivering strong performances in both domestic and international competitions,” Matola said.

“The bond between the players is growing, and that will be key to our success.”he added

Matola also revealed that the team’s Cairo schedule will feature a series of high-profile international friendlies, giving Simba an opportunity to test their strength, assess tactical adjustments, and sharpen their play ahead of the season’s kick-off in September.

With the new season fast approaching, the club is banking on the momentum from their Cairo camp to ensure they hit the ground running when competitive action begins.
