The India Cultural Centre, together with the Tanzania Kabaddi Sports Association (TKSA), will host a Kabaddi Bonanza on August 28 at the centre.
TKSA Secretary-General Stanley Mwadime told The Respondent Online that the event aims to attract sponsors to support Tanzania’s participation in the Beach Kabaddi World Championships, scheduled to be held in Malaysia.
He said Tanzania plans to send two teams—men’s and women’s—to represent the country in the international tournament.
"All Kabaddi clubs and groups are encouraged to prepare fully and participate actively by attending and making necessary arrangements," Mwadime said.
He added that the centre will cover travel expenses for only six teams. Costs for other team needs, including sports equipment, will be the responsibility of each club. Any updates or changes will be communicated in advance.
"We look forward to your full cooperation to make this event a success and to further develop Kabaddi in Tanzania," Mwadime concluded.
