Fountain Gate has set its sights on a top-two finish in the Premier League, aiming to qualify for international competitions and represent Tanzania on a bigger stage.
The team’s spokesperson, Issa Liponda, said the squad is currently training at their camp in Morogoro, with preparations going smoothly. He stressed that finishing outside the top four would fall short of their goals.
“Our preparations are on track as we enter the third week of the camp. The focus is on building players’ fitness, strengthening team cohesion, and assessing who will form the starting lineup. Friendly matches have helped the coaching staff make important decisions on the squad,” Liponda said.
He added that the team will play competitive friendly matches to give players a chance to test themselves and ensure the squad is ready for the season.
Liponda also appealed to fans to continue supporting the team, urging them to encourage the players and boost morale as Fountain Gate targets strong results in the league, which kicks off in September.
