The Tanzania Athletics Federation (RT) has elected a new leadership team for a four-year term during a recent meeting held in Mwanza.
Leonard Thadeo, Chairperson of the RT Electoral Committee, announced yesterday that Rogati John has been elected as President, with Jackson Ndaweka taking the role of Vice President.
The newly elected executive members include Michael Washa, Alfredo Shahanga, Ibrahim Adam, Andrew Roby, and Lwiza John, who will represent women in the federation.
Speaking on behalf of the leadership team, President Rogati John thanked the members for their confidence and vowed to work collaboratively to advance athletics in the country.
“We have received the guidance and directives given to us, and our team will work together to implement them for the growth and development of athletics nationwide,” he said.
The new leadership team is expected to bring fresh energy and strategic direction to strengthen athletics at all levels in Tanzania.
