The ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has announced its final list of candidates for parliamentary and special seats in the 2025 General Election.
The announcement came after a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on August 23, 2025, in Dodoma.
According to the party, selections were based on political experience, leadership qualities, and inclusivity to ensure CCM remains strong and competitive nationwide.
In Arusha, candidates include Paul Makonda for Arusha Urban, Dr. Johannes Lukumay for Arumeru West, Daniel Awack Tlemah for Karatu, Dr. Steven Kiruswa for Longido, Joshua Nassari for Arumeru East, Isack Copriao for Monduli, and Yannick Ndoinyo for Ngorongoro.
Dar es Salaam nominees include Haran Nyakisa Sanga for Kigamboni, Angellah Kairuki for Kibamba, Prof. Alexander Kitila Mkumbo for Ubungo, Mariam Kisangi for Temeke, Abdallah Chaurembo for Chamazi, Kakulu Kakulu for Mbagala, Geofrey Timoth for Kawe, Abbas Tarimba for Kinondoni, Mussa Azzan Zungu for Ilala, Jerry Silaa for Ukonga, Bonnah Kamoli for Segerea, and Dougras Masaburi for Kivule.
Dodoma Region will see Kenneth Nollo for Bahi, Deogratius John Ndejembi for Chamwino, Livingston Lusinde for Mvumi, Kunti Yusuph Majala for Chemba, Paschal Chinyele for Dodoma Urban, Antony Mavunde for Mtumba, Ashatu Kijaji for Kondoa Rural, Mariam Mzuzuri for Kondoa Urban, George Malima for Mpwapwa, George Simbachawene for Kibakwe, and Isaya Marugumi for Kongwa.
Geita nominees include Dotto Biteko for Bukombe, Jafar Seif for Busanda, Cornel Magembe for Chato North, Pascal Lutandula for Chato South, Chacha Wambura for Geita Urban, Musukuma Joseph Kasheku for Geita, Kija Ntemi for Katoro, Fagasoni Nkingwa for Mbogwe, and Hallen Amar for Nyang’wale.
Other regional nominees include Iringa, Kagera, Katavi, Kigoma, Kilimanjaro, Lindi, Manyara, Mara, Mbeya, Morogoro, Mtwara, Mwanza, Njombe, Pwani, Rukwa, Ruvuma, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Singida, Songwe, Tabora, and Tanga.
CCM also named candidates for special seats allocated to youth, women, workers, parents, persons with disabilities, NGOs, and higher learning institutions.
The party emphasized that the selections aim to balance experience, representation, and inclusivity, ensuring CCM maintains its leadership role in Tanzania’s political landscape ahead of the 2025 elections.
