The Pharmaceutical Society of Tanzania has called on pharmacists across the country to register in large numbers to access their rights, strengthen their practice, and benefit from professional development. The call was made during the fourth annual Pharma Exhibition, currently underway in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Adam Jani Mohammed, a pharmacist and the association’s media personnel, said the association is committed to ensuring pharmacists work in a supportive environment and are protected against challenges facing the sector.
“We are building an enabling environment for daily practice, defending and protecting pharmacists when challenges arise, and ensuring they comply with all legal and professional regulations. We also work closely with the government to make this possible,” he said.
The association, an organizing partner of the exhibition, said the event creates opportunities for technological advancement, business growth, and improved working conditions for pharmacists and laboratory technologists.
The body has about 3,000 members and is urging all pharmacists in Tanzania to register.
“The exhibition benefits us all—for the advancement of pharmacists, healthcare, treatment, and medical services in general,” said Ms. Mary Kisima, the association’s Vice President.
The three-day event, held in partnership with India’s Exhibition in Trade Services, brought together over 80 international exhibitors and attracted more than 2,000 visitors.
