Yanga members urged to renew cards to support upcoming season

As Young Africans SC (Yanga) celebrate a successful season, club members across the country are being reminded to renew their membership cards by paying a TSh 24,000 fee  a contribution deemed vital for ensuring continued success in the upcoming campaign.

Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, said the funds collected will directly support the club’s recruitment efforts ahead of the new season, which is set to begin between July and August this year.

“This TSh 24,000 membership fee forms the financial backbone of our club’s success,” Kamwe stated. “We urge all members whose subscriptions have expired to renew their cards on time. The club’s new financial year starts in July, and these funds will enable us to sign top-quality players for the upcoming season.”he added

Kamwe emphasized that membership contributions are not just symbolic, but directly impact the club’s ability to build a competitive squad.

“We have big ambitions. We want to strengthen the team, and to do that, we need everyone on board  including our loyal members.”he added

He also confirmed that several key players have reached the end of their contracts, including Maxi Nzengeli, Pacome Zouzoua, Dickson Job, and Sure Boy. At present, none of them have been offered contract extensions.

“Discussions are ongoing,” he said. “No decisions have been finalized because we’re still waiting on the technical bench’s report. That report will guide us on who should stay and who should be released.”

Kamwe concluded by reiterating that the club’s future success depends on early planning, proper financial support, and member participation.

“We’ve achieved a lot this season but to go even further, we need our members to step up now. Renewing your membership is more than a formality. It’s a direct investment in the future of Yanga.”he added

The appeal comes as the club gears up to defend its titles and aims to strengthen its squad to compete on both domestic and continental stages.
