The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting local industries by establishing a dedicated “Made in Tanzania” pavilion at the ongoing SADC Summit, taking place at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.

As part of its broader mandate to market Tanzanian-made products and services, TanTrade’s pavilion brings together a diverse group of entrepreneurs showcasing high-quality, locally manufactured goods.

Among the standout exhibitors is The Tanzanite Experience, a company renowned for its fine jewelry and ornaments crafted from Tanzanite a rare and uniquely Tanzanian gemstone found only in the Mererani Hills near Mount Kilimanjaro.

The presence of Tanzanite products has generated considerable interest among both local and international delegates attending the summit.

According to TanTrade, the inclusion of such distinctive products underscores the untapped potential of Tanzania’s mineral and creative sectors.

“This pavilion is not just a showcase; it’s a strategic platform to elevate Tanzanian products onto the global stage,” said a TanTrade spokesperson.

“By highlighting local craftsmanship and resources, we are ensuring that the world sees the value of what Tanzania has to offer.”he added

The Made in Tanzania initiative is a key pillar in the country’s ongoing efforts to boost exports, attract foreign markets, and build a strong, recognizable national brand.

The pavilion will remain open throughout the summit, offering visitors an immersive experience into the creativity, quality, and potential of Tanzanian enterprises.
