Simba Sports Club leadership has pledged to return stronger in the upcoming 2025/2026 season, focusing on strategic and meticulous player recruitment to bolster internal competition within the squad.

Mohammed Dewji, Simba’s Board Chairman and Honorary President, outlined the club’s vision and expectations for the new season.

He emphasized plans to strengthen the technical bench, ensuring the team benefits from expert guidance aimed at achieving top performance.

“We are also committed to enhancing the board of directors, internal committees, and institutional frameworks to guarantee lasting success,” Dewji stated.

He revealed that significant financial resources have been allocated to improve the club, emphasizing that with divine blessings, Simba will emerge more formidable and prominent.

“My investment in Simba is not only for the club’s benefit but for the nation as a whole. I urge everyone to maintain trust and protect the club’s esteemed reputation,” he added.

Dewji expressed his ambition for Simba to claim the coveted CAF Champions League title and to continue establishing the club as a leading force in African football.

He disclosed that he has contributed approximately 87 billion Tanzanian shillings towards the club’s operations, including player acquisitions, team preparations, salaries, share purchases, operational expenses, and emergency support beyond the formal budget.

Reflecting on past achievements, Dewji highlighted Simba’s historic distinction as the only Tanzanian club to reach the CAF Champions League final twice.

While the ultimate prize eluded them, the team’s determination and fighting spirit remained undeniable.

“All these accomplishments demonstrate that we are on the right path. Though we fell short in the finals, our foundation is strong, talent is abundant, and with unity, we will return next season with renewed vigor,” he affirmed.

He also acknowledged the challenges faced during the previous season but praised the team’s resilience, noting Simba’s rise to fifth place in CAF rankings from 85th position.
