The Executive and Technical Committees of the Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball Association (DAREVA) are scheduled to hold a joint meeting soon in Dar es Salaam as part of preparations for the upcoming National Cup tournament.
According to DAREVA Chairman Fredy Mshangama, the Technical Committee will present the list of players selected to represent the region at the tournament, which is set to take place in December this year.
“The purpose of the meeting is to receive the names of players shortlisted by the Technical Committee, based on performances from our regional league that concluded on June 22,” Mshangama said.
“We are currently coordinating to agree on a suitable day for the meeting within this week.”he added
He noted that early preparation is key to ensuring the regional team is well-equipped to compete strongly in the national championship.
Meanwhile, Mshangama also disclosed that DAREVA plans to hold general elections to elect new leadership for the association. The date for the elections will be announced in due course.
