The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has entered its semifinal stage, with four of the world’s biggest football clubs set to clash at MetLife Stadium in New York, United States.

 As the competition intensifies on the pitch, the business side of football is equally commanding attention, with each of the semifinalists already earning millions of dollars in revenue from the tournament.

On Tuesday, July 8, Chelsea Football Club from England will take on Brazil’s Fluminense. The match, scheduled to kick off at 10:00 PM, brings together two teams with contrasting histories and financial power.

 Chelsea, one of the most recognized clubs in Europe, has so far earned $70.6 million from its participation in the tournament. 

The club’s commercial strength, global fan base, and strong sponsorship deals continue to position it among football’s financial leaders.

 Fluminense, a Brazilian club known for its passionate support and tactical flair, has collected $60.81 million in revenue, showing how South American clubs are increasingly gaining commercial ground on the global stage.

The second semifinal will be played on Wednesday, July 9, at the same time and venue, with French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) facing Spanish giants Real Madrid. 

PSG, backed by significant investment and a star-studded squad, has generated $76.9 million during the tournament. 

Real Madrid, football’s most successful club in terms of international titles, leads the earnings table with $82.5 million, reflecting its global reach, consistent performance, and massive commercial appeal.

The staging of both semifinals in the United States a key growth market for global football adds to the significance of this year’s tournament. 

With MetLife Stadium hosting over 80,000 fans and millions more tuning in globally, the 2025 Club World Cup is not only a showcase of top-tier football talent but also a platform for global brand expansion, media partnerships, and sports business innovation.
