The Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA) has launched a new slogan, “BRELA: Gateway to Business Success”, as part of its efforts to enhance stakeholder engagement and promote formalization of businesses across the country.

The new slogan was unveiled on June 30, 2025, by the Minister for Industry and Trade, Dr Selemani Jafo (MP), during the opening of a strategic working session between the Ministry and regional trade officers in Morogoro.

According to Professor Neema Mori, Chairperson of the BRELA Ministerial Advisory Board, the slogan reflects BRELA’s renewed commitment to support businesses through efficient, accessible, and inclusive services.

“This new slogan guides the agency's core functions in implementing its strategic plan. It sends a clear message inviting stakeholders in the industrial and commercial sectors to take full advantage of BRELA’s services, particularly in formalizing their businesses,” Prof Mori said.

She added that the slogan launch coincided with the start of a high-level session aimed at strengthening collaboration between BRELA and trade officers across the country. The officers, she said, play a critical role in linking entrepreneurs and investors to BRELA’s services.

“These officers are an essential bridge between BRELA and the institutions they represent. Their support is key in advising entrepreneurs, investors, and small-scale traders to register and formalize their businesses,” she noted.

From 2021 to 2025, BRELA operated under the slogan “We Give Legal Life to Your Business.” However, Prof Mori said the agency has since improved its services and broadened its scope, prompting the need for a new slogan that better reflects its expanded role in enabling business success.

The new slogan is expected to strengthen BRELA’s image as a strategic partner for business development, particularly in an era where digital transformation and regulatory compliance are critical to competitiveness and sustainability.
