Steven Mnguto has stepped down as Chairman of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) confirmed on Friday.
Mnguto's resignation, submitted on June 13, comes at a critical time as preparations intensify for the upcoming league season.
No official reason was provided for his departure, but it marks a significant shift within the league's leadership structure.
In a separate development, TFF President Wallace Karia has suspended TPLB Chief Executive Officer Almasi Kasongo.
While the federation did not disclose details behind the suspension, it coincides with ongoing administrative changes within the board.
