Mbuga, Bumbuli – The Councillor for Mbuga Ward in Bumbuli District Council, Hon. Dhahabu Jumaah, has commended the national budget presented by the Ministry of Finance, describing it as inclusive and responsive to the actual needs of Tanzanians, particularly those living in rural areas.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the budget was presented in Parliament, Hon. Jumaah stated that the financial plan directly targets the improvement of essential public services, which have long posed challenges to ordinary citizens.

“We focus on the fundamental needs of our rural communities, and this budget addresses all key areas—education, health, water, and electricity,” he remarked.

He further explained that the budget places significant emphasis on the education sector, particularly on infrastructure such as classrooms, dormitories, and teaching materials. Similarly, the health sector has received strong financial backing, which reflects the government’s genuine commitment to improving healthcare services for all citizens.

“This budget will solve many of the issues our people face—schools are being strengthened, dispensaries are being expanded, and more medical equipment is being provided. This is a major step forward,” he added.

In the water sector, Councillor Jumaah highlighted the government's determination to relieve women of the burden of carrying water on their heads by introducing numerous rural water supply projects. He noted that these projects aim to reduce the long distances women have to walk in search of clean and safe water.

“The government is investing in large-scale water projects. This is a huge relief for those of us living in the villages,” he said.

The electricity sector has also seen remarkable progress. According to Hon. Jumaah, all villages within Bumbuli District Council have now been connected to electricity, which has significantly enhanced the productivity and efficiency of local development initiatives.

He took the opportunity to praise the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her effective oversight of budget implementation since assuming office. He mentioned that many government budgets have achieved 100% execution, with no development project being halted midway.

“Look at the modern structure of the Bumbuli District Council—it's a testament to our progress. We have every reason to commend the President. This budget also highlights the tremendous national achievements made so far,” he said.

Overall, the budget appears to enjoy support from leaders at all levels—from the grassroots to the national stage—because it prioritizes the welfare of citizens, especially those living in remote and underserved areas. The continued collaboration between the government and the people remains the cornerstone of these successes.
