Airtel, Infinix unveil NOTE 50 Pro+ to boost smartphone accessibility in Tanzania

Airtel Tanzania, in collaboration with Infinix Tanzania, has officially unveiled the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+, a new flagship smartphone now available in Airtel shops across the country.

The launch, held at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam, marks a strategic partnership aimed at increasing smartphone accessibility for Tanzanian consumers, especially among the youth and technology enthusiasts.

Infinix Product Specialist, Lilian Julius, described the NOTE 50 Pro+ as the most advanced model in the NOTE 50 Series, designed to meet the evolving needs of modern lifestyles.

“This device combines innovation and elegance. It features AI-powered technology, super-fast charging, and a durable, sleek metal body,” Julius said. “Through this partnership with Airtel Tanzania, we are making advanced smartphones more accessible and affordable for Tanzanians.”

Airtel Tanzania Acquisition Manager, Asnath Mboya, said the introduction of the NOTE 50 Pro+ reflects Airtel’s commitment to enhancing digital inclusion and empowering its customers with modern technology.

“The NOTE 50 Pro+ offers speed, performance, and value. Our partnership with Infinix supports our ongoing mission to make smart devices affordable and expand mobile penetration, allowing more Tanzanians to fully participate in the digital economy,” she said.

She added that the launch of the device was also part of Airtel’s broader strategy to support young people and tech enthusiasts by offering devices that balance performance and affordability.

Key features of the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+ include a 5200mAh battery with FastCharging 3.0 technology, capable of reaching a full charge in just 38 minutes. The device also incorporates a One-Tap AI experience powered by Folax AI Assistant, offering features such as screen translation, content recognition, and real-time assistance.

In addition, the smartphone boasts a 100X Periscope camera, a 50MP ultra-sensitive front lens equipped with a SONY IMX896 sensor for high-quality photography even in low-light conditions, and improved gaming performance supported by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip, XBOOST AI for Games, and 5.5G network compatibility.

The NOTE 50 Pro+ is designed with an ArmorAlloy body using aerospace-grade aluminum and a ShockAbsorb system, providing both durability and portability. It is available in Titanium Grey and Mountain Shade colour options.

Customers purchasing the device from Airtel shops will also receive exclusive Airtel bundles and offers designed to enhance the smartphone’s capabilities.
