A high-level Tanzanian delegation has proudly represented the country at Project Qatar 2025, one of the Middle East’s leading exhibitions for construction and manufacturing.
The delegation, led by the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Qatar, included key public institutions and private sector players from the construction and engineering industries.
Among them were the Ministry of Works, TANROADS, Tanzania Building Agency, Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB), Contractors Registration Board (CRB), and several private contractors and consulting firms.
The four-day event held from May 26 to 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre (DECC), the exhibition attracted participants from around the globe. This year’s theme, “Experiencing the Synergy of Construction and Manufacturing Innovation,” focused on promoting new technologies, digital transformation, and sustainable development in infrastructure and production.
Tanzania’s participation aimed to showcase the country’s capabilities, attract foreign investment, and build meaningful partnerships with international stakeholders.
The delegation engaged in multiple business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, and official discussions with various Qatari institutions, including the Qatar Public Works Authority, Electricity and Water Corporation, and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The exhibition opened with a keynote speech by H.E. Saleh bin Majid Al-Khulaifi, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial and Business Development at Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
His address set the stage for four days of discussion on the future of construction and manufacturing, with a focus on artificial intelligence, smart systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
Tanzania’s pavilion attracted wide interest, receiving visits from senior Qatari officials, business leaders, and potential investors.
Delegates used the opportunity to present ongoing infrastructure developments in Tanzania, share insights on policy reforms, and express the country’s commitment to innovation and green technology.
The event featured two flagship segments, the Qatar Smart Manufacturing Exhibition and the Project Qatar Conference.
These platforms offered Tanzania a chance to explore the latest trends in automation, AI, and intelligent construction systems while engaging in policy and industry dialogues with global experts.
Tanzania’s presence at Project Qatar 2025 marks an important step in raising its international profile.
The delegation's efforts have helped open new avenues for trade, technical cooperation, and knowledge exchange.
The experience also supports Tanzania’s vision of transforming its construction and manufacturing sectors through innovation and sustainable growth.
As the event concludes, the delegation leaves Doha with strengthened partnerships, valuable insights, and a renewed drive to connect global opportunities with national development goals. Tanzania has demonstrated not only what it offers today, but also its ambition for tomorrow.
