Prime Minister arrives in Japan to represent Tanzania at World Expo 2025 in Osaka

 Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa arrived today, May 23, 2025, in Osaka, Japan, where he is representing the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, at the World Expo 2025.

While in Japan, Prime Minister Majaliwa will participate in a high-level forum on business, investment, and tourism, bringing together stakeholders and investors from both Tanzania and Japan. 

The forum aims to promote economic collaboration and attract new opportunities for growth and development.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to engage in bilateral meetings with Japanese officials and business leaders. These discussions are expected to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.

World Expo 2025 officially opened on April 13 and will run through October 13, 2025. This is the second time Osaka is hosting the international exhibition, the first being the historic Expo 1970. 

The event serves as a global platform for innovation, cultural exchange, and international cooperation, with participants from over 150 countries.

Tanzania’s presence at the Expo underscores the country's commitment to global engagement and its readiness to showcase its potential on the world stage.
