On May 26, 2025, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has revoked the appointment of Dr. Elirehema Joshua Doriye as Commissioner for Conservation at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).

In his place, the President has appointed Mr. Abdul-Razak Badru to lead the NCAA. Mr. Badru previously served as Director General of the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF), where he oversaw the management of pensions for public servants across the country.

To fill the leadership gap at PSSSF, President Samia has appointed Dr. Rhimo Simeon Nyansaho as the new Director General.

Before this appointment, Dr. Nyansaho was the Director of Business Development at Azania Bank, where he worked on expanding the bank’s operations and services.

The changes were announced in a statement from the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka.

The appointments reflect the government’s continued efforts to improve efficiency and leadership in key public institutions.

The NCAA plays a vital role in conserving one of Tanzania’s most important heritage sites, while PSSSF manages retirement benefits for thousands of public employees.

The new leaders are expected to bring improved management and accountability to both institutions.

The statement was issued by the Directorate of Presidential Communications at State House.
