Over 200 swimmers are expected to participate in the highly anticipated Swahili Talent Swimming Competition, scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Gymkhana swimming pool in Dar es Salaam.

Event coordinator Noeli Kiunsi confirmed that the competition will feature swimmers of various age groups, starting from under five years old, Under-7, 8–9, 10–11, 12, and 13–14 years. Participants are drawn from a wide range of schools, academies, and clubs across the country and beyond.

“We are excited to welcome swimmers from different regions, both local and international, who are coming to showcase their talents,” said Kiunsi.

He noted that all preparations have been finalized, and the Guest of Honour is expected to be Boniface Tamba, the Acting Director of Sports Development in Tanzania.

“The aim of this competition is to identify and nurture young swimming talent, preparing them to become future international representatives of Tanzania,” he added.

Kiunsi also extended his appreciation to the sponsors and partners who have generously supported the event, helping ensure its success.

Winners will receive medals and various prizes, designed to encourage and motivate children to work hard and develop their skills in swimming.
