Simba squad of 22 players depart for Egypt

A 22-player squad from Simba SC departed early this morning for Egypt, where they will face Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals on April 2, 2025.

Simba’s Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed that the team is well-prepared, with all players in good form and ready for the match.

“We understand that Al Masry is a tough opponent, and they are determined to secure a positive result. However, we are equally determined to fight for a spot in the semifinals,” Ally said.

He also noted that, while all players are in good condition, Che Malone will miss both the match and the trip due to injury and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The 22 players traveling to Egypt are: Moussa Camara, Abdurazak Hamza, Mohamed Hussein, Shomari Kapombe, Valentine Nouma, David Kameta, Kelvin Kijiri, Yusuph Kagoma, Elie Mpanzu, Awesu Awesu, Fabrice Ngoma, Debora Fernandes, Jean Charles Ahoua, Ladack Chasambi, Kibu Denis, Augustine Okjepha, Joshua Mutale, Leonel Ateba, and Steven Mukwala.
