90 minutes to determine the King of the Kariakoo Derby

All eyes will be on Benjamin Mkapa Stadium tomorrow as Yanga and Simba lock horns in the much-anticipated Kariakoo Derby, a thrilling NBC Tanzania Premier League encounter set to kick off at 1:15 PM in Dar es Salaam.

Both teams have expressed their readiness, with coaches and players exuding confidence ahead of the high-stakes showdown.

Yanga's head coach, Miloud Hamdi, assured fans that preparations have gone smoothly and that his squad is in top shape, apart from star midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, who remains a doubt due to a hip injury.

"We are a big team. We are Yanga Africans. Why should we have any doubts heading into this match? We are confident and ready to fight," Hamdi declared.

Yanga captain Dickson Job echoed his coach’s sentiments, emphasizing that the players are determined to secure all three points.

On the other side, Simba’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, highlighted the intense competition within his squad, noting that every player is eager to feature in this crucial fixture.

Simba’s assistant captain, Shomary Kapombe, stressed that past matches are now history, and their sole focus is on tomorrow’s clash.

Meanwhile, the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) spokesperson, Karim Boimanda, revealed that ticket sales have surged as fans gear up for one of the biggest football spectacles in Tanzanian football.
