Azam FC head coach Rachid Taoussi has pledged to use the upcoming break to fine-tune his squad and sustain their impressive form following a commanding 4-0 victory over Tanzania Prisons in the NBC Tanzania Premier League.

Speaking after the match, Taoussi emphasized the importance of consistency, stating that his goal is to ensure Azam remains highly competitive for the remainder of the season.

"I want to commend my players for their outstanding performance. They fought hard and displayed great quality on the pitch. My focus now is on maintaining this level and pushing even harder to secure positive results in the upcoming matches," said Taoussi.

Meanwhile, Tanzania Prisons head coach Aman Josiah attributed his team's defeat to slow reactions in key moments of the game.

"We are a strong team, just like our opponents, who currently top the table. We fought hard, but our biggest downfall was reacting late to crucial situations. That is something I will address, especially by strengthening the players mentally," Josiah explained.

He also pointed out that the absence of several key players had impacted their performance but remained optimistic about their chances when the league resumes.

"I believe that once we have our full squad available, we will be able to compete at our best," he added.
