In anticipation of the national celebrations for International Women's Day, set to take place in Arusha City on March 8, 2025, citizens from the Arusha Region and surrounding areas have gathered in large numbers at the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination) stand.

The aim is to gain insights into a range of important topics, including disaster management, economic empowerment, private sector development, government performance monitoring and evaluation, and HIV/AIDS prevention.

Other key areas of focus include livestock, agriculture, and fisheries, highlighted through the Agricultural and Fisheries Development Program (AFDP) and the Second Phase of the Agricultural Sector Development Program (ASDP II).

Women professionals from the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination) have been seen actively engaging with various groups, including women, girls, and youth of all ages, offering valuable information and guidance on March 7, 2025, with activities continuing.

The event is guided by this year’s theme: "Women and Girls 2025: Strengthening Rights, Equality, and Empowerment."

The official guest of honor at the peak of the celebrations is expected to be Her Excellency, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
