The Zanzibar national team, Zanzibar Heroes, has secured a spot in the final of the Mapinduzi Cup tournament.
Zanzibar Heroes achieved this milestone after a 1-0 victory against Kenya in a match played today at Gombani Stadium on Pemba Island.
The decisive goal came in the 90th minute, scored by Ali Khatibu, also known as 'Inzagi,' and remained the only goal throughout the match.
Zanzibar Heroes will face Burkina Faso in the final, scheduled for January 13 at the same stadium.
Burkina Faso concluded their matches with seven points, while Zanzibar Heroes secured six points to reach the final.
