Three Yanga players to miss Al Hilal clash

By Flora Mkoloma

Yanga SC will be without three key players for their CAF Champions League second-leg match against Al Hilal, set for January 12 in Mauritania.

The team is scheduled to depart early tomorrow morning to Mauritania as they prepare for the crucial encounter.

According to Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, the injured players who will miss the game are Maxi Nzengeli, Aziz Andambwile, and Kouassi Ottohoua.

“The team has wrapped up final preparations to ensure readiness for the match. The good news is that Clotus Chama has returned to camp, and doctors have confirmed his recovery.

He has rejoined training with his teammates. Unfortunately, the three injured players will not be part of the traveling squad,” Kamwe said.

Yanga faces an uphill battle after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Al Hilal in the first leg played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
