The Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) has proudly represented Tanzania at the International Tourism and Transport Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The event, organized by the Institute of Technology and Research in Asia (ITAR), ran from January 15 to 16, 2025, bringing together participants from 52 countries worldwide.

The conference aims to highlight technological advancements in tourism and transport while fostering knowledge exchange among global stakeholders to enhance these sectors.

Senior Conservationist Kelvin Fella, Commander of the Kilwa Ruins Reserve, represented TAWA at the event.

SC Fella delivered a compelling presentation on TAWA’s efforts to enhance tourism and transport infrastructure, which has significantly boosted tourism in the Kilwa Reserve.

He emphasized the global importance of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songomnara, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and detailed the range of tourism activities available in Kilwa.

He also extended a warm invitation to attendees to explore Kilwa and other parts of Tanzania.

SC Fella further promoted other TAWA-managed destinations and unveiled exciting investment opportunities in hunting tourism.

Brochures highlighting these opportunities were distributed, and attendees were encouraged to capitalize on them while becoming ambassadors for Tanzania’s rich wildlife and cultural heritage.

Through this international platform, TAWA continues to elevate Tanzania’s profile as a top-tier destination for sustainable tourism and investment.
