The District Commissioner of Mbogwe, Sakina Jumanne, has handed over a check of 500 million Tanzanian Shillings to women, youth, and special groups as part of a loan facility.

These funds are part of the 800 million Tanzanian Shillings allocated by the Mbogwe District Council, which represents 10% of the local revenue.

Speaking today, January 16, 2025, Sakina noted that the loan distribution targets various groups, with a special emphasis on youth.

As a unique initiative, 20 motorbikes were handed over to youth to support their entrepreneurial activities and contribute to their economic development.

Sakina further emphasized the significant efforts made by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in driving development in the region.

She pointed out that for the 2024/2025 fiscal year, the Mbogwe District has allocated a total of 800 million Tanzanian Shillings for community development.

Additionally, the District Commissioner urged Mbogwe Council employees, particularly those in the Department of Community Development, to actively educate residents on how to join groups to benefit from the loans.

She warned that without proper education and assistance in registering groups, many qualified beneficiaries might miss out on the funds.
