The Tanzania Handball Association (TAHA) has officially begun preparations for the East Africa Under-19 Handball Championship, set to take place this year in Kampala, Uganda.

TAHA's Deputy Secretary General, Yehoshefati Kalulu, confirmed that the national team’s head coach, Hemed Juma, has been appointed to lead the squad.

Coach Juma will be responsible for selecting the players who will represent Tanzania in this prestigious competition.

"Preparations are already underway, including the selection of a capable coach. We trust that with the responsibilities given to him, Coach Juma will build a strong and competitive team," Kalulu said.

Kalulu further highlighted that they are actively seeking financial support to ensure the team can train in optimal conditions and be fully prepared for the competition.

He called on stakeholders and sponsors to come forward and lend their support, ensuring the team can participate fully and succeed in the championship, from start to finish.
