Sixty-four participants have successfully completed a coaching and basketball officiating training program, which concluded on January 10 in Dar es Salaam.
The training, organized by the University of Dar es Salaam under the Department of Education and Sports Science (PESS), attracted a diverse group of participants.
In an interview with The Respondent Online, the training coordinator, Robert Manyerere, shared that the program brought together university students, secondary school teachers, and stakeholders from various basketball clubs across the country.
“We have successfully completed the training, and we urge the participants to not just keep their certificates but to put the skills they’ve gained into practice,” said Manyerere.
He emphasized that the training's main objective was to support the Tanzania Basketball Federation (TBF) in managing and advancing the development of basketball across the country.
