The Kilimanjaro Athletics Association (KAA) has elected new leaders during a general election held on January 11, 2025, in the region.
Nelson Mrashani was elected as the new Chairman, defeating the incumbent, veteran athlete Adram Mikumi, who was seeking re-election.
Mrashani won with 17 votes, while Mikumi received six votes, and there were no spoiled ballots.
Gilbert Semgonja was re-elected unopposed as Vice-Chairman, while Michael Luhanjo was re-elected as Secretary and Batuli Msangi as Treasurer.
The newly elected Executive Committee members include Mariam Kheri, Omar Amir, Amon Sifael, and Amin Kimaro.
Oswald Kahuruzi was elected as a Delegate to the General Assembly.
