Simba heads to Angola for CAF Confederation Cup clash against Bravos Do Maquis

Simba SC’s 22-player squad departed early this morning for Luanda, Angola, where they will face Bravos Do Maquis in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup clash on January 12.

The Tanzanian champions head into the match with the upper hand, having secured a narrow 1-0 victory in the first leg played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Simba needs only a draw in this crucial encounter to advance to the tournament’s quarter-finals.

The squad traveling to Angola includes key players such as Moussa Camara, Hussein Abel, Ally Salim, Karaboue Chamdu, Che Malone Fondoh, Abdurazak Hamza, Mohamed Hussein, and Shomary Kapombe.

 Other notable names include Kelvin Kijili, Mzamiru Yassin, Fabrice Ngoma, Yusuph Kagoma, Elie Mpanzu, Augustine Okejepha, Kibu Denis, Debora Fernandes, Ladack Chasambi, Jean Ahoua, Edwin Balua, Leonel Ateba, and Valentino Mashaka.

Simba currently leads the group standings with 9 points, while Bravos Do Maquis has 6 points. Both teams have played four matches so far, making this fixture pivotal in determining who progresses to the next stage.
