The KAS team emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over KEJA in the CAF U17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament match played today at Azam Complex, Chamazi.
KEJA took an early lead in the 7th minute with a goal by Jane Sakwa. However, KAS equalized in the 24th minute through Mitshel Muthama. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the 61st minute, Jenevive Mithel scored the decisive goal for KAS. Despite KEJA’s determined efforts, the scoreline remained 2-1 in favor of KAS at the end of the 90 minutes.
KAS coach Jackline Juma praised her team’s performance, noting that they took advantage of their opportunities to secure the win.
KEJA coach Mildred Cheche expressed disappointment, emphasizing that her team created many chances but failed to capitalize on them, which ultimately led to the loss.
