The eagerly awaited draw for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) group stages will take place tomorrow in Kenya, marking a crucial step toward the tournament, scheduled to run from February 1 to 28 this year.
The championship will feature teams from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, bringing together the region's finest talent in local football.
Adding to the event's prestige, former football stars Mrisho Ngasa (Tanzania), Hassan Wasswa (Uganda), and McDonald Mariga (Kenya) will assist in conducting the draw, symbolizing the strong legacy of the sport in East Africa.
This year’s CHAN winner is set to claim a grand prize of USD 3.5 million, a significant reward for excellence on the field.
The entire tournament is projected to cost approximately USD 10.4 million, underlining its importance in promoting football development across the continent.
