The NBC Tanzania Premier League will continue tomorrow with a highly anticipated clash at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam. Yanga SC will face Fountain Gate FC in a match that will conclude the first round of the league.
Yanga heads into the game riding high after a dominant 4-0 victory over Dodoma Jiji in their last outing, securing three valuable points. Meanwhile, their opponents, Fountain Gate, are looking to bounce back from a narrow 2-1 loss to Namungo.
Speaking ahead of the match, both teams' representatives expressed confidence and determination to secure all three points. Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, assured fans that the team is fully prepared.
“Our preparations are going well, and the players are ready to fight for the three points,” said Kamwe.
He highlighted the return of previously injured players, including Azizi Andamwile, Max Nzengeli, and Kennedy Musonda. However, he noted that midfielder Clatous Chama remains unavailable.
Kamwe called on Yanga supporters to turn up in large numbers to cheer on the team, emphasizing the importance of building momentum not only for the league but also ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against TP Mazembe on January 4, 2025, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
On the other hand, Fountain Gate’s Media Officer, Issa Mbuzi, acknowledged the challenge but expressed optimism about his team’s chances.
“The match will be tough, but we are determined to fight for three points,” said Mbuzi. He revealed that the club had strengthened its squad during the transfer window to address key weaknesses and improve performance.
“Our goal is to finish the first round with a victory, create history by defeating the defending champions, and secure a strong position in the standings,” Mbuzi added.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the encounter, which promises to deliver an intense battle as both teams push for critical points in the league standings
