The highly anticipated final of Wababe wa Kitaa (WWK) will take place in January 2025 in Dar es Salaam, according to Gola Kapipi, the Secretary-General of the Wushu Tanzania Association (WUSHU).
Speaking to The Responded Online, Kapipi confirmed that preparations are well underway to ensure the event is held with professionalism and excellence.
The WWK final will feature top athletes from several combat sports, including judo, kickboxing, wushu, and boxing. These athletes have successfully qualified for the final through a series of rigorous competitions.
Kapipi explained that each sport will compete for a championship belt, which has been ordered and is expected to arrive in Tanzania soon.
“Our main focus is ensuring that every sport in the competition has a fair chance at winning the coveted belt. We are confident that the athletes will deliver exciting performances,” said Kapipi.
He also mentioned that players from the United Kingdom, Arab countries, and various African nations have been invited to participate in preliminary matches leading up to the final.
This international participation will add excitement and diversity to the event, making it a truly global competition.
Athletes have been training intensively in preparation for the final, and Kapipi emphasized the importance of ensuring that all participants are fully prepared to showcase their skills. The event is expected to be a major sporting highlight for the year.
