Mineral indicative prices for March 28,2026


The Mining Commission of Tanzania has released the latest indicative mineral prices, providing key market information for investors, miners, and stakeholders in the mining sector. 

The update covers gold, silver, and copper, reflecting both world market and local mineral prices.

For gold, the world market price stands at USD 4,519.15 per troy ounce, translating to TZS 376,343.26 per gram

Locally, the mineral market price is TZS 338,708.94 per gram, while buying centers offer TZS 331,182.07 per gram, ensuring competitive rates for artisanal miners and collectors.

Silver prices also remain stable, with the world market rate at USD 69.62 per troy ounce (TZS 5,797.78 per gram). In Tanzania, the mineral market price is TZS 5,218.00 per gram, and buying centers are paying TZS 5,102.04 per gram.

Copper prices show modest fluctuations, with the world market price at USD 5.49 per pound or TZS 31.33 per gram

The local mineral market price is TZS 28.19 per gram, and buying centers offer TZS 27.57 per gram.

The Mining Commission’s regular price updates are crucial for ensuring transparency, guiding investment decisions, and protecting the interests of small-scale miners.
