The leadership of the Tanzania Handball Association (TAHA) is set to organize a Beach Handball bonanza scheduled for December 28 this year at Pweza Beach in Dar es Salaam.
According to TAHA's Acting Secretary General, Yehoshefati Kalulu, the primary aim of the event is to select young players who will form the national youth team to compete in the African Championship qualifiers.
Kalulu stated that the target is boys and girls under the age of 17, who will join forces with players from Zanzibar to form a unified team.
“This team will be prepared to participate in the qualifiers to be held in Zanzibar, aiming to secure a spot in the African Championship that will take place in Tunisia,” Kalulu explained.
He called on regional teams to ensure they send their players to participate, enabling the association to identify talents capable of representing the nation on international platforms.
