Airtel Tanzania’s festive campaign, “Santa Mizawadi,” is lighting up the holiday season with a dose of joy and generosity. This week, Santa Claus made a lively stop at Airtel’s offices in Dar es Salaam, delighting employees with singing, dancing, and the unmistakable Christmas spirit.
The man behind the jovial Santa, Lucas Mhavile, shared his excitement during the visit. “The festive season starts at home and spreads to everyone else. I’m thrilled to bring smiles and gifts to people wherever I go!” he said.
Santa Mizawadi’s mission doesn’t end at the office. He plans to visit neighborhoods across Tanzania, asking simple questions and handing out gifts on the spot. His catchphrase, “Nikisema Santa, unaitikia Mizawadi! Santa! Mizawadii!” is already creating buzz.
The Santa Mizawadi campaign, which kicked off on December 10, offers Airtel users a chance to win fantastic prizes, including: Free airtime and high-speed internet bundles, Airtel Money benefits like instant rewards for paying bills, purchasing LUKU, or school fees, and Special prizes like motorbikes, smart TVs, smartphones, 5G WiFi routers, and cash prizes of up to 1 million TZS.
Draws are held every Tuesday, and participation is as simple as making a transaction via Airtel Money, purchasing bundles, or buying Janjaruka na Dilismati smartphones.
In partnership with Haier, Airtel also offers modern smart TVs bundled with internet-ready 5G Smart Routers, making this holiday season even more special.
Speaking at the campaign’s launch, Airtel’s Head of Corporate Communication and PR, Jackson Mmbando, emphasized the ongoing excitement. “Don’t miss these rewards! Meet Santa Mizawadi and get instant gifts while weekly draws continue,” he said.
Santa’s festive tour includes stops in Dar es Salaam at Mlimani City, Mwananyamala Sokoni, and Mikocheni on December 20. Then, it will head to Mwanza, Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Dodoma, and Mbeya. The campaign runs through January 10, 2025.
